Nowadays many people have the demand of having digital camera. Many other people would like to begin using this technology, but find the task of choosing an appropriate digital camera to be irresistible. So finding the best digital camera is not so easy. Here are 7 smart ways in choosing the best digital camera:

1) Computing Platform: This is an obvious consideration but it is fast becoming less of an issue than it once was. Most current cameras can be interfaced with both Mac and Windows platforms.

2) Image Quality: Image quality is a complex subject that includes exposure accuracy, color purity, optics, and image compression techniques.

3) Onboard Image Capacity: The amount of onboard image storage could be pretty important. There is generally a tradeoff between image capacity and image quality, so don’t get too excited about high image capacity until you compare the amount of storage in relation to image resolution.

4) Reusable Memory Cards: Many cameras allow you to make your own decision about the memory/cost tradeoff by allowing you to store images on plug-in cards. This approach allows users to add as much or as little memory to the camera as they feel they need.

5) Exposure Versatility: digital cameras have the incapability to handle radically different lighting conditions. With film cameras, you can compensate for different lighting situations by using different types of film. With a digital camera, the camera’s image sensor acts as the film, and it is not interchangeable.

6) Flash Capability: You have to also look for the availability and capabilities of a built-in flash. Key factors here are the range over which the flash will be useful, and the number of “modes” it has.

7) Self-Timer: A self-timer is simply a shutter delay that allows you to trigger the camera, and then run around to be included in the picture before the shutter snaps.

You’ve made up your mind, it’s the American Pit Bull Terrier you want as your companion. Are you ready for this breed? Read this article and then decide if you want to go ahead with your decision.Does your lifestyle fit the American Pit Bull Terrier

lifestyle?

These dogs are packed with energy from head to toe. Craving a good run like a champion athlete. Exercise is critical to a heathy, happy bulldog. High energy is their middle name and is a large part of their personalities. Play, work, and activity is something you must be able to give these dogs.If you’re a couch potato you should find another breed to live with.

Do you have the security?

American Pit Bull Terriers are the Houdini’s of the canine world. Able to leap tall fences with a single bound, dig under them with amazing speed and stealth, and unlock gates that people would have trouble with.

You should have 6′ privacy fence, beware of dog signs, hot wiring at the top and bottom of the fence, out door housing that keeps them out of the sun (even if they live indoors), and supervision are required for these dogs. You can’t leave them alone for long outside because one of two things may happen:

1. They escape. 2. They’re stolen.

Are you prepared for the scrutiny of neighbors and friends?

American Pit Bull Terriers are notorious. They have a bad name and the misinformed public is out to get them. It seems like everyday another “Baby mauled by pit bull” story runs, diminishing your choice of breed.

People will dislike you for your choice. Some may even try to kill your dog. Others will direct comments at you, vulgar, hateful comments, and friends and family may also be in conflict with your choice.Be prepared for some rude behavior and protect your dog by teaching food refusal from strangers.

Can you train your dog?

There are two methods of training. One is to train your dog by showing it how to sit and lay down and then quitting. The other lasts forever. Real training is life long training that starts when the puppy arrives at your home and ends with death.

Unless you’re prepared to work with your dog 5-10-15 minutes per day, everyday, all week, every week, all year, every year, you may want to rethink your decision to get a Pit Bulldog. Actually, if you’re not prepared to train your dog, you should rethink getting any dog. Training is a fact of life and must be done in order to prevent a lot of trouble down the road.If you can not control your dog, you don’t need one.

Can you afford them?

Dog food, vet bills, training, leashes and collars, and dog houses all cost money. Money you may not have right now. A quality dog food can cost as much as $800 per year. Do you have this kind of extra money to spend on food? If not, wait until you do before you bring home that puppy.Do you want a American Pit Bull Terrier to impress people?

If this is the case, stop! Do not, repeat, do not bring one home. You’re doing yourself and the dog a great injustice. American Pit Bull Terriers are in demand because of their all around strength, agility, great looks, and mystic. Breeders are pumping puppies out like unleaded gasoline. Puppies are being neglected and bad breeding practices are producing unstable dogs. Beware before you make any final decisions.

If I may point you in a different direction. Every day there are thousands of great bulldogs put down because no one will adopt them or they are deemed “unadoptable” by shelters.

Consider a Rescue Dog.

People who love this breed have created rescues for these dogs and hundreds of dogs are available for adoption.

Rescues are a win-win-win way to go. You give a dog that would otherwise not have a home, a home. You give your money (which in most cases is a small adoption fee) to the rescue so they can continue their work, and you get an awesome dog that will 9 times out of 10 deliver more than any pure-bred dog could on their best day.

In closing, before you run out and buy a American Pit Bull Terrier, think about your options, make sure you have what it takes to provide and care for the dog, and take your time to find a dog that matches your desires.

For more information on the American Pit Bull Terrier or a full list of dog breeds take a look at this Dog Training website.

Taking a camping trip can be extremely fun and adventurous, but only if you are well prepared.  That is especially true when it comes to choosing the right sleeping bag for your journey into the woods.  If there is one thing you need to have during a good camping trip, it is a comfortable and dry night’s sleep, which is something only the right sleeping bag can do for you.  When you start to look for just the right type of sleeping bag, you should take into accout why you need it. Your selection will depend largely on whether you are sleeping on the ground, in a cabin, in a cooler climate, or a wetter environment.

Many people begin by deciding between a down or synthetic sleeping bag.  Down filled sleeping bags are extremely warm and comfortable and are great for camping outdoors.  Synthetic sleeping bags are just as warm but dry more quickly than down in the event of rain.  There are many other materials that also work well for at least three out of the four seasons in which you will most likely be camping.  They tend to be warmer for the cooler nights, and keep you cool on the warmer nights.

The material that is used for sleeping bags for camping use is normally either nylon or polyester.  Both are “breathable” materials (i.e. allow sufficient air in and out for comfort) but also keep you dry and warm.  You should avoid all cotton sleeping bags unless you have small children who may feel more comfortable in them.  Having a smooth lining is also a benefit for comfort. Linings made from non-cotton material such as taffeta or silk keep you comfortable inside the sleeping bag, which is just as important as the exterior considerations.

Another consideration for getting a great sleeping bag is the actual shape of the bag itself.  You have a choice of a cocoon shaped sleeping bag – which is very common – or you can choose one that is rectangular in shape.  The cocoon bags are a bit constricting but keep you quite snug, while the rectangular sleeping bags give you a larger space in which to move.

Lastly, you want to make sure that your sleeping bag can be easily “exited.” The zippers should open on each end, allowing you to get out quickly if necessary. Having double sided zippers with hooks to keep it closed while you sleep is essential as well.

Make sure you try out the sleeping bag before making the purchase by actually getting into it at the store. Although you may feel a bit silly, that is the only way you are actually going to know if it feels comfortable for you.  If the store doesn’t allow this then you should try it out as soon as you return home. Give it a thorough “going over” before committing to keeping it. One of the last things you want to do is to take a sleeping bag on a trip without knowing that you are going get a full and comfortable night’s sleep.

Choosing A Massage Table

Posted by: Reader | Comments (0)

If you’re a massage student looking to by your first massage table, it can be overwhelming when you see all the choices you have available to you. Now that you’re taking your massage class, you’re itching to get your first massage table so you can start practicing on your friends and family!

The question becomes what exactly is the right table for you and your needs? There are different things to think about when choosing your table, and below I’ve highlighted some things you’ll want to think about. While most tables look similar, there are actually some differences that may look small, but can make a huge difference in the table you choose.

For instance, tables can be found in a standard size, or you can order them wide or narrow. If you’re a shorter person with shorter arms, you may find a more narrow table would work better for you.

You’ll also have to make decisions like if you’ll want a table that is portable or stationary. If you’re going to bring your table with you, this is an important decision! You may even want to consider a massage chair!

With many companies to choose from, you’ll come across brands such as Oakworks, Earthlite, Master, Astra Lite, Nautilus, Earthgear, StrongLite and Custom Craftworks just to name a few! With a little time and research, you’ll find the perfect massage table for your needs.

One of the things you’ll want to look at is the padding on the table. This is something you’ll want to think about based on the modalities that you’ll be practicing. If you’re doing deeper work, you won’t want as much padding as someone who does primarily Swedish massage. Also, consider your client will be on the table from 30 to 90 minutes. You can also buy a separate pad at a later date if you choose to add more. I personally would recommend to buy the best padding you can afford. Don’t forget to specify if you want medium or high density foam.

One thing that many people get caught up on is the color of their massage table. A gentle reminder that sheets will be on your table, may help you realize that it’s really not as important as you make it out to be. While you may love a purple, blue or yellow table, you won’t be seeing that table except for a quick change of sheets!

It’s exciting to pick out your first massage table. Before jumping in though, consider that if you’re in school, your school may have a discount program, so check with them. You can also find channels online for a large choice of tables, as well as checking places like eBay. My biggest recommendation though would be to go to a showroom and try them out, if you have one near by. Get up on the table and see how it feels.

When looking at the table size, consider that the standard length runs 73″. You can also order tables that range in length from 65″ to 85″. Width is another place where you can find different sizes. Most massage tables range from 25 to 32 inches wide.

When choosing a cradle or headrest, there are different types once again. One is fixed, that you remove by pulling it out when not using it, while the other is adjustable and collapses when it’s not in use. Which will you want?

Another option is looking at end plates. Based on the modality you’ll want to decide if you want open end plates or closed. If you will be practicing Reiki, you’ll want open end plates. This way you can place your legs under the table while practicing.

Will you be doing Shiatsu massage with clients? You’ll want to look for a table that allows you to fold the legs beneath the table, so that you can place it on the floor.

Sometimes you’ll see the letters UL when a table is described. What that means is that the table you’re looking at has been through an independent test, and it passed criteria such as weight bearing. Look for these letters when selecting your table.

Choosing Cookware Sets

Posted by: Reader | Comments (0)

When between the many options in cookware sets there are things you need to have and things you want to have. You need to decide what material, how many pieces, etc. Your knowledge and cooking expertise will play a huge role as well. An amateur chef would not use complicated equipment.

If you plan to even cook Mac & Cheese in your kitchen you will need the basic essentials for cooking.

Skillets are essential for sautéing and your easy skillet dinners. I would recommend having three different sizes such as a seven inch, ten inch and eleven inch. That way if you need to brown beef and sauté mushrooms for spaghetti, you don’t have to wait for one or the other.

Saucepans are great for heating up various sauces, you can also use them to heat up vegetables as well. As with the skillets you really should have two different sizes with these as well. One quart and two quart are good enough for any cooking project you have.

Kettles or stockpots are the best for cooking pasta, stews, or any other fairly large portion of food. You really only need one of these, but two is not bad either. You want to make sure that it is at least six quarts to ensure that it is big enough.

Cookie sheets are great for, obviously, cookies. But they are also great for things such as chicken and garlic bread. One of these is enough, but having two or three is a good idea if you are making a large batch of cookies.

Utensils are your basic tools when cooking. I definitely would recommend having more than enough of these. You will definitely need a ladle, large spoon, slotted spoon, spatula, slotted spatula, rubber spatula, spaghetti fork, and whisk.

You will almost always need a strainer. I recommend a metal non wire strainer, simply because they are easier to clean. People find it is more difficult to clean a mesh strainer because food is constantly getting stuck in the mesh. And I would steer clear of plastic because it melts at high temperatures.

Measuring cups and spoons are the most important tool to have when cooking from scratch because it requires lots of measuring. You will need at least a two cup liquid measuring cup. You will also need 1/8, ¼, ½, and 1 teaspoon and tablespoon measuring spoons and dry measuring cups.

Mixing bowls are great to have and you can never have enough. I would definitely advise having at minimum a small, medium, and large mixing bowl.

Some extras to consider would be cake pans, casserole dishes, and mixers. You will definitely also want to look at which material you prefer to use. The most common are stainless steel, copper, cast iron, and hard-anodized. Stainless steel is superior quality and lasts longer, but comes at a price. If you went with stainless steel you want the base lined with copper since copper has higher heat conductivity.

Copper is good, but easily corrosive and expensive. Cast iron is cost effective, but hard to maintain. So you want to be sure to keep up with it to avoid rancid build up. Hard-anodized is very durable and resistant to corrosion, but is prone scratches.

Just remember when choosing between cookware sets you want to make sure you have the essentials and look for the most cost effective set that works for you and your family.

Choosing a bikini for your body shape

Posted by: Reader | Comments (0)

Finding the right bikini for your body is an annual ordeal. You can nearly always guarantee that if the bottoms fit, the top will be too small, and if the top fits, the bottoms will make your backside look massive. I’ve got some top tips for you on choosing the right swimwear to flatter your body shape.

Pear shaped

The pear shape is said to be British women’s most common body type and it just means you have a larger bottom half than top half. It doesn’t sound a very flattering shape, but actually it just means you are more voluptuous on the bottom half and as a plus you probably have a lovely flat stomach too! If you want to draw attention away from your bottom half, a great way to do this is by wearing a pretty and detailed bikini top to draw attention to your bust. By maximising your bust it’ll be easy for you to look sexy and voluptuous in your bikini! Try to avoid bandeau styles as these will only minimise your curves. Bikini bottoms that cut across the widest part of your hips will look the most flattering on you. Choose bikini bottoms with side ties so you can adjust them to the most flattering position for you, but keep away from boy shorts as these will make your hips look bigger. Always make sure the bottom half of your bikini fits well, as there’s nothing guaranteed to make you look bigger than ill-fitting or too tight bikini bottoms.

Apple shaped

If you’re a classic apple shape, then you probably have a less well defined waist and smaller hips. Actually it’s not that you don’t have a small waist, it’s just that you have such slim hips! On the bonus side you probably have a great bust and lovely long legs too! So focus on these and create the illusion of curves by picking bikinis with string ties, ruffles, belt, or pretty bow details. Try to steer clear of too small a bikini bottom as these won’t flatter your shape, instead go for bikini bottoms with high cut legs that lengthen your legs and draw attention away from your waist. Sexy boy shorts would also work well on you. Avoid halter necks because these will just lengthen your top half, also steer clear of horizontal stripes as these will just draw attention back to your waist. If you feel you need to cover up your tummy chose a tankini or swimsuit in a nice simple style and a pretty pattern.

Hourglass

If you’re lucky enough to have an hourglass figure then you can flaunt it in just about any style and that includes even the teeniest of bikinis! Sexy high cut bikini bottoms will look good on you and will make your legs look long. Just make sure you don’t squeeze those curves into too small a bikini because you don’t want any wardrobe malfunctions on the beach!

Slim or atheletic

A slim or atheletic figure may lack some of the curves of an hourglass, but as a bonus you’ll have a slim waist and a slight figure – lucky you! Bikini tops with ruffles or pretty prints will look flattering on you. A halter neck is also a good look as it’ll help to accentuate your bust, you could also try bikini tops with extra padding for maximum effect! You’ll look great in boy shorts and bikinis with tie sides which will help to give you a curvier look. Try to avoid boring mono block swimsuits as these will be the least flattering for you – pretty pattern and lots of feminine detail are the key for you!

Top tips for looking good on the beach!

The following are not strictly body types, but they’re probably amongst the biggest issues we women face when picking the right bikini or swimwear, so we’ve given them their very own sections!

Big bust

If this is you and you’re lucky enough to be a curvy lady, then a good choice for a larger bust is a halter neck bikini because they can give you good support as well as a sexy cleavage! It’s probably best to avoid strapless bandeau styles as they won’t give you much support and can look unflattering. Likewise bikinis with tiny tops are best avoided as they won’t provide you with enough coverage and you could well find yourself popping out all over! If you have real problems finding bikinis to fit both your top and bottom halves, then trying buying them separately so you can mix and match sizes. If support is a problem for you, then look out for underwired bikini tops or tank top bikinis with wide straps which will give you that all important extra support.

Small bust

Ladies with smaller busts are lucky because they can wear lots of different styles, including bandeau styles which only really look amazing on you! Make sure you check out bikinis with ruffles and tiny tri top bikinis because only you can wear these well! Go for bright colours on the beach this summer, and check out the Brazilian style bikinis which generally have smaller tops making them perfect for you. For extra impact, try bikinis with padding. It’s always a good idea to choose a bikini that has adjustable straps to ensure a good fit because loose bikini tops are definitely not a flattering look.

Now for the rest!

If there are any specific bits and pieces you want to conceal or hide, take a look at our checklist below on how to deal with the most common body shape issues:

Short legs – pick a bikini bottom or swimsuit cut high on the leg as these will help make your legs look longer. It’s probably best to avoid boy shorts and bikinis with skirts as these will just draw attention down making your legs look shorter. Short body – again, you’ll find a high cut leg is flattering and will help to elongate your legs. Also wearing a bikini that has a patterned top and solid colour bottoms can help to lengthen the body. Try to avoid boy shorts and bikinis with skirts because by drawing attention down these will only make you look shorter. Long body – you’ve got the opposite problem here! You’re probably a complete clothes horse and everything looks great on you. In fact bikinis were made for you because they’ll help to break up your long body. You can wear bikinis with lots of lovely detail at the bust and hip, plus boy shorts will also look good on you. Just try to avoid swimsuits with vertical sripes or in dark mono block colours as these will make your body look longer. Instead go for horizontal stripes or some lovely bright summer colours. Bandeau bikini tops can also help by giving width to your bust Big bottom – if you want to minimise your bottom it’s best to avoid boy shorts, very skimpy bottoms, or anything with too many ruffles or detail, as these will just draw attention to this area. Instead try a bigger bikini bottom in a solid colour with a full side as ties will just emphasise this area. If you’re really conscious of your bottom you might want to consider a bikini with a little skirt. But you can also draw attention away from your bottom half with a pretty detailed bikini top – ruffles are good here, in fact anything that emphasises your top half will help to draw attention away from your bottom. No waist – like the apple shape which we talked about earlier, it’s not that you don’t have a waist, just that your slim hips draw attention away from it. But you can create the illusion of curves with a bikini that has ruffles, bows or detail at the hips. If you have a small bust, a strapless bandeau bikini top will also look good on you. Just try to avoid swimsuits in a solid colour or with horizontal stripes as these will be the least flattering for you. Big thighs – you can draw attention away from your legs by emphasising your top half, or by wearing high legged bikinis. A bikini bottom with the string tied high on the leg will look very flattering on you! Wide shoulders – the key to looking good for you is to balance out your body, so you want to emphasise your bottom half. Avoid plunging necklines and teeny tiny bikini bottoms because these will not be flattering to your body shape and will emphasise your shoulders. Instead opt for bikini bottoms in bright colours, bold prints, and with ties or details at the hip as these will draw attention to your bottom half and help to balance out your shoulders. Short waist – lengthen your body with bikini bottoms that have a low waist or are low rise. Also bikini bottoms with a belt at the hips will look good on you.

Last but not least!

Just remember to find the perfect bikini or swimsuit before you go on your hols. Prices at holiday destinations can be very high and sizes can vary widely to UK sizes. Plus you don’t want to waste any of your precious holiday time hunting down the perfect bikini – so make sure you take it with you!

When you are a hard streak trekker or hiker, then you would certainly like to hike or trek during the cold months, or just go climb a mountain just to prove it to yourself, or just for the heck of it.

You know the hazards of such a trek or hike. You need to be kept warm in those zero or sub zero temperatures, and also protect yourself from the cold especially when you settle down for the night. You can’t afford to have hypothermia, and therefore you have to find a bag that would protect you for the cold. Well, it is here and it is known as the Mountain Hardwear Sleeping Bag. And yes, it was designed by persons like you.

This sleeping bag was designed and made by a group of enthusiastic backpackers, who were constrained by the weather. Putting their heads together, they came up with this sleeping bag, and which rightly became and instantaneous hit.

Each bag is made from synthetic and natural down. An ingenous use of Down, which is the technical name for goose feathers, the bag is light to handle, and has a high thermal coefficient for retaining heat. These bags also use synthetics like Polarguard Delta, Termolite extra and hollow filaments of Thermic CF that capture warm air and retain heat.
